This Privacy Policy explains how Yuri Koshiishi ("we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you use Hyper, including its app, website, APIs, and related services (the "Service"). It describes our practices and does not replace separate consent where required.
Last updated: September 26, 2026
Information We Handle
- Account information: Email address, account identifiers, and information supplied by your sign-in provider (Apple, Google, or email and password).
- Training profile and program inputs: Information you enter to generate a program, such as birthday, gender, bodyweight, height, training experience, diet, sleep, stress, training days, session length, and prioritized body parts.
- Workout records: Programs, exercises, sets, weights, repetitions, RPE, durations, distances, workout dates, notes, and related preferences you enter or save.
- Purchase information: Product, subscription, transaction, and entitlement information needed to provide paid features. Apple handles payment details; we do not receive your full payment-card number.
- Support communications: Messages, email addresses, and diagnostic details you provide through in-app support, our contact form, or email.
- Usage and technical information: App interactions, screen views, device and app information, request details, timestamps, error reports, and performance diagnostics. Our service providers may also process IP addresses and device identifiers. Analytics and diagnostics can be associated with your account identifier; error reports can include your email address and relevant technical context. We do not collect your device's advertising identifier and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Your training profile, program inputs, and workout records are currently stored only on your device; they are not synchronized to our servers. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes them, and we cannot restore them. Account, purchase, and support information is stored on our servers.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create and maintain accounts and provide the features you request;
- generate training programs and calculate statistics and estimates from your records and preferences;
- validate purchases and manage access to paid features;
- respond to support requests and investigate errors;
- understand feature usage and improve performance and usability;
- protect the Service, investigate abuse or unauthorized access, and enforce usage restrictions;
- meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Authorized personnel may access relevant information for support, troubleshooting, security, and service administration. Do not include sensitive information in notes or support messages unless it is needed for your request.
Service Providers and Disclosures
We use providers for the following functions. Information shared depends on the feature you use:
- Google and Firebase: Authentication, product analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, and Google sign-in. These can involve account identifiers, email addresses for authentication, device information, app interactions, and diagnostics.
- Apple: App distribution, Sign in with Apple, store payments, subscriptions, and related account services. Apple also processes information independently under its own policy.
- RevenueCat: Purchase validation and subscription access, using app-user identifiers, email addresses, purchase records, and entitlement information.
- Sentry: Error and performance monitoring, using diagnostics and relevant device, request, and account context.
- Expo: App update infrastructure and related delivery diagnostics.
- Slack: Internal notifications of support messages you send us.
- Hosting and database providers: Storage and processing of account, purchase, and support records on our behalf.
We may disclose relevant information when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and safety. If the business is transferred through a sale, merger, or reorganization, personal information may transfer with it, subject to applicable protections and notice requirements.
Device Storage, Cookies, and Permissions
The app uses local storage to keep your training profile, workout records, preferences, and sign-in state. The website and third-party services may use browser storage or similar technologies for their functions. Your browser and device settings let you manage storage and permissions; clearing app data or disabling necessary storage removes local records or affects sign-in.
Notification permission is controlled separately through the app and your device settings. Device permissions do not constitute consent to every use of personal information. Contact us with questions about analytics or to exercise privacy rights; disabling notifications does not disable analytics.
Retention and Account Deletion
We retain information to provide the Service and for the purposes described in this policy. Retention depends on the information involved, your account status, support needs, and applicable legal obligations.
You can delete your account through the app's account settings. This disables the account and its access; signing in again with the same credentials offers to restore it. Workout records on your device are not affected until you uninstall the app or clear its data. To have your account and the related server records erased permanently, contact us at [email protected].
Support records, purchase records, security logs, and backups may be retained separately as needed for their purposes, legal obligations, or disputes. Account deletion does not automatically erase previously collected analytics. Provider-held copies are subject to the applicable retention settings and deletion processes. Contact us for details about the retention of particular information.
Deleting the app or account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel through the App Store.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on the law where you live, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to processing; or withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy regulator.
Send requests to [email protected] or our contact page. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We respond within the periods required by applicable law and explain any applicable exceptions.
Where EEA or UK data-protection law applies, our processing relies, as appropriate, on providing the service you request under our contract, legitimate interests such as service security and troubleshooting balanced against your rights, legal obligations, or consent where required. Where health-related information requires an additional legal condition, we must also meet that condition, including obtaining explicit consent where required. This policy alone does not supply that consent.
International Processing
We operate from Japan. Our providers may process information in other countries, including the United States, depending on the service used. Those countries' privacy laws may differ from those where you live. International processing remains subject to applicable data-protection and transfer requirements. Contact us for information about the locations and safeguards relevant to your data.
Children
If you believe we have collected a child's personal information without consent required by applicable law, please contact us. We will investigate and take appropriate steps, including deleting information where required.
Security
We use measures intended to protect information, including access controls and encrypted network connections. No service can guarantee complete security. Keep your device and sign-in credentials secure and report suspected unauthorized access to us.
Changes to This Policy
We will publish updates with a revised date and notify you of material changes through an appropriate channel. Where a new use requires consent, we will request it before that processing begins.
